I'm just putting something here so that my blog feels less...empty. I've no idea what I'll use this for eventually, but I'm glad I have it, at least.
Hm...well, Thursday night I went to a Franz Ferdinand concert. It started at 8pm--I got there at 5:30. By the time he crowd was actually let in to the concert, I was in agony. But oh my god, it was worth it. As soon as Franz came on, I forgot all about how my knees felt like they were going to explode. I completely lost myself. Alex Kapranos is pure sex, jesus. Since I was one of the like, first thirty people on line, and the venue was general admission, the whole band was just...right there. In front of me. They were so energetic and great and put on quite a performance. I knew the words to every damn song and belted them out with the rest of the crowd. When they got to the techno end of Lucid Dreams, the opening band came out, and they all started playing on these drums that were set up. I was worried that they wouldn't play my favorite song, This Fire, but I guess they saved the best for last! Perfect ending to the conert.
That little recap was totally all over the place, but whatever, so am I.
Also, I downloaded Death Cab for Cutie's album, Plans. It's quite good. I've listened to them before, but hadn't realized how well they fit in with the rest of my music. They're on the way to becoming one of my favorite band. I especially like the lyrics that "Marching Bands of Manhattan" opens with: "If I could open my arms/And span the length of the isle of Manhattan/I'd bring it to where you are/Making a lake of the East River and Hudson."
I'm going shopping tomorrow for some prom stuff, I'm getting my dress tailored today, Monday I'm going with my dad to check out Hunter so I can figure out which college to go to. Prom is really soon, I'm freaking a little.
Okay, that's all I have to say right now.

A Jagged Gorgeous Winter - The Main Drag
Sometime Around Midnight - The Airborne Toxic Event
I Don't Care - Fall Out Boy
Brothers on a Hotel Bed - Death Cab for Cutie
